6 Juicing Recipes to Change Your Health Today!

Juicing is a healthy habit with amazing benefits that you can easily incorporate into your life! If you are just starting out with juicing I would encourage you to read my previous post, Juicing Made Easy, to get the basics. These 6 recipes are not only super easy to prepare, but they also taste great and will give your body a blast of great nutrients!

Mean Green Juice
This one is my favorite starter recipe to share with people. It has a tangy taste that is just sweet enough for anyone to adjust to quickly. It is also loaded with so many nutrients and gives you tons of energy!

Mean Green Juice

Ingredients

  • 6 kale leaves
  • 1 cucumber
  • 4 celery stalks
  • 2 green apples
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1-inch piece of ginger

Carrot Juice
Carrot is amazing for your skin and this recipe will have your skin glowing for the summer! It has a very mild taste and I don’t mind drinking it without the apple so if you are up to it feel free to try with or without the apple.

Carrot Juice

Ingredients

  • 4-6 carrots
  • 1 medium apple

Celery Juice
Celery juice can do wonders when helping with any digestive problems you might be experiencing! If you are looking to have celery juice help with digestion specifically, try drinking this in the morning on an empty stomach and then wait about 15 minutes before consuming anything. In about a week or so you will notice a huge difference in your digestion. Like the carrot juice, I think celery has a mild flavor and like the taste without the added apple, but try it both ways and decide which you prefer.

Celery Juice

Ingredients

  • 8-10 celery stalks
  • 1 medium apple

Grapefruit Refresher Juice
This juice is a powerhouse of hydration and will also aid in weight loss! We all know grapefruit is known for its weight loss properties, pineapple is loaded with vitamin C and anti-inflammatory properties and watermelon in this recipe will keep you super hydrated! You will love drinking this one because it’s fruity, sweet, and loaded with nutrients!

Grapefruit Refresher Juice

Ingredients

  • 1 grapefruit
  • 1-2 cups pineapple peeled and cut into chunks
  • 1-2 cups watermelon skin removed and cut into chunks

Cleansing Juice
Lemons have many amazing properties, but I specifically like this juice for the cleansing and alkalizing effects on the body. This juice is a great addition if you are detoxing, but you can enjoy it anytime you want the benefits of lemons in your life!

Cleansing Juice

Ingredients

  • 3 medium-size lemons peeled
  • 5-6 medium apples
  • 1 handful spinach
  • dash of cinnamon and cayenne pepper optional

Spicy Beet Juice
Beets can give you healthy and glowing skin, but it can also give you increased stamina during your workouts! The added benefits of the ginger and basil in this juice really make this one an excellent combination for everyone.

Spicy Beet Juice

Ingredients

  • 2 large to medium beetroots leaves removed
  • 1-2 medium apples
  • 2-3 carrots
  • 1/2 cup basil leaves
  • 1-inch piece of ginger

A couple of tips to help you with these recipes…

  • I have been juicing for years and can handle juices that are not sweet, but if you are having a hard time adjusting to the taste try adding an apple or pear to any of these recipes to quickly and easily sweeten them a bit. (The type of apples you use is really up to your preference. I like to use gala, granny smith and pink lady)
  • Each of these recipes will make about 1-2 16oz servings depending on the size of your fruits and veggies.
